Members of the National Forum for Haredi Educational Psychologists visit Achiya

 

The forum, which consists of the Educational Psychologists who head the Department of Education’s Psychological Services in Beit Shemesh Netivot, Elad, Haifa, Petach Tikvah and Jerusalem, visited Achiya to learn about its many activities.

 

Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten, supervisor of the Learning Center’s Gemara Program spoke to the forum about Achiya’s unique method of remedial Gemara instruction, which uses modern methods to help children master the age-old study of Gemara.

 

The psychologists toured the various departments in the main building, and viewed activities in action. They were particularly impressed by the stunning hydrotherapy pool .

 

Naomi Spiro, who heads the forum, wrote in a letter to Achiya, “I want to thank you for devoting so much time to us, and for giving us a tour of your magnificent building. The lecture on the challenges of mastering Gemara learning was both interesting and professional. We all gained from the experience.”
