Haredi teachers explore Dead SeaAs part of the Land of Israel course, students at Achiya’s Teachers’ College Neve Yaakov- Jerusalem branch spent a full day exploring the Dead Sea region, with an emphasis on activities appropriate for the annual end-of-the-year school trip. This is the first in a series of field trips to explore the different geographical areas of Eretz Yisrael.

Rabbi Yanun Tzarfati, coordinator of the Neve Yaakov branch, organized the trip, and even prepared a delicious home-made supper. The day concluded with a soulful kumsitz led by Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz, the college’s inter-branch coordinator, who accompanied the singing with his guitar.

Reb Dovid, in the name of all the participants, said, “We would like to express our appreciation to Rabbi Tzarfati for organizing this wonderful field trip. Not only did we gain in our knowledge of Eretz Yisrael, we returned home with great ideas for future class trips, as well as fun activities that will bring the material that we are learning to life. We’re looking forward to future field trips.”
